Welcome to the Comprehensive Center for Chronic Pancreatitis.

The Comprehensive Center for Chronic Pancreatitis is a part of The University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. The University of Arizona Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with The University of Arizona (UA). The University of Arizona Medical Center serves as the primary teaching hospital for the UA Colleges of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.  Approximately half of our physicians serve on the faculty of the UA College of Medicine. These alliances provide for technical and professional relationships with several of the university’s centers of excellence and various academic departments.

Horacio L. Rilo, MD, an international pioneer in islet cell transplantation for the treatment of diabetes, has been appointed professor of surgery and director of Cellular Transplantation at The University of Arizona Department of Surgery.  Click here to read more....
